To whoever is interested I am a guy who has spent a long time abroad. I am now back in my beloved UK. I am single with no children having never been married (never had the time!!!). My idea of an ideal date is to meet someone who appeciates local beauty spots, to soak up the atmosphere that locations/atmosphere generate, (Grassmere in the Lake District springs immediately to mind). With regards to personality I will use quotes from my friends and family, here goes:
"Manly, handsome with nice blue eyes, (I'm not a vain person, however I've quickly realised, after speaking to another website member that you have to really sell yourself".

Sensitive (on hearing this one I had to state that as a man that it was in my "job spec" to be insensitive, however I was assured although technicaly right, I wasn't too bad!)
"A people person", I agree with this, I admit that I thrive and enjoy when in peoples company.
As for travelling, I have to admit that I have been priveledged to visit many locations in the world and have enjoyed them, the secret about going to different places and enjoying different cultures is that you get more our of it when you share it with someone!!!
